This magical day marked the beginning of A Day of Magic Charitable Trust. Kristie, an inspiration to the Bay of Plenty community, battled Cystic Fibrosis her whole life. She received the devastating news that at 35, she had only 4 weeks left to live.
Celebrating Kristie
Kristie's A Day of Magic wish was to fly in a helicopter. Melanie (now the CEO and founder of A Day of Magic Charitable Trust) arranged a surprise day for Kristie and her family. They were chauffeured to a private launch, then checked into a beachside apartment, pampered with makeup, and flown to a hilltop resort. The day was filled with surprises, including a performance by Tiki Taane. Special mention and heartfelt thanks to these generous local businesses and professionals: Tiki Taane, Companion Drive, Sage & Grace, Oceanside Apartments, Hand Picked, Chrissie Callard Makeup, Eagle Ridge Estate, Adventure Helicopters, and Aerius Helicopters.
